Here are a bunch of words we felt were worth putting on the internet. If you choose to read these words, you'll likely get to know us a little better. Which will help you decide if you want to hang out with us later.

The First Annual 5+8 Client Hall of Fame

The First Annual 5+8 Client Hall of Fame

I wanted to write some super-insightful, mind-bending prose on the current state of the world, but who wants more existential examination and reflection right now? “Not I,” says this guy. So here’s the opposite: the inaugural 5+8 Client Hall of Fame, a concept that Jeff and I have been massaging for five years. Periodically, a conversation not unlike the one below would arise.

“Wouldn’t it be funny if we had a Client Hall of Fame?” said Jeff or Adam.

“Totally,” said either.

“That would be funny,” said the other one.

“We should do that,” said man.

But, like a lot of ideas, it had to wait. Wait until the time was prime. And now it is very much indeed prime time.

So let’s get started, beginning with a breakdown of the rules of eligibility:

  1. They must no longer be an active client.

  2. They must have been a client for one year.

  3. They must be able to take a joke.

I really can’t emphasize that last one enough. I mean, it’s just work, right? Now that the rules have been set, please take your seats for the show. All portraits were based on LinkedIn photos, drawn blindly with a single, unbroken line. That’s why they are so stunningly accurate.

Various Projects

A lot of people want to say they were your “first client,” but I believe Randy actually was our first legit client. Randy trusted us when he should not have trusted us. We were just two dudes with no plan outside of doing some cool work. We were Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey. But Randy believed in us. He introduced us to other people. He helped us build a network. He’s a good man and a friend, and we owe him a debt of gratitude for believing in us when I am not sure anyone else did.

Ericka Graham, Philanthropy & Theology
Project 88

I still remember where I was when Ericka called. I was on the couch. She said she found our website and was talking to several agencies. It was the first time anyone had ever called us without a referral of any kind. It was a big deal. Five years later, we have collaborated on countless projects, and she has become a friend to myself and several other team members. She is selfless, kind, goofy, chatty, messy, and one of the best people I have ever known. We love Ericka Graham. Everyone loves Ericka Graham. Welcome to the greatest honor of your life.

John R. Yedinak, Owner
Senior Housing News

John came to us after a chance meeting at a bachelor party. His company and ours were both starting out, and I’d like to think we helped each other and grew up together. John was also our first tough client. He expected a high level of speed and execution, and he wasn’t shy about this expectation. John’s support and straightforwardness helped 5+8 mature into an agency with processes and systems. He’s also become a networking asset, a trusted colleague, and a drinking buddy. Thank you, Yedi.

There is your 2020 5+8 Client Hall of Fame inaugural class. If you feel you were left off this list, please check the criteria before creating a ticket with our complaint department.
